If you like karate movies, this is the one.
This movie is from Thailand and the language is Thai, but this is an action movie all the way, so you can probably count the number of words in the dialogue in your head. Tony Jaa is the star and director of this movie and he must know what he is doing, because it is hot! The original Ong Bak is almost a legendary martial arts movie already, but it doesn't seem to have anything to do with this one.
The story is straight up revenge. His father is killed by a powerful man and he is thrown to the wolves, or crocodile in this case. He is saved as a child by a martial arts master who sees his potential as a child when he fights off a crocodile to survive. He is trained and becomes the best, fighting all of the other martial artists in his adopted fathers bandit gang and defeating each style one after another.
The cinematography is great. Almost every scene looks like it came straight out of a picture. The angle on the martial arts action is great and Tony Jaa's moves are incredible. When he hits someone with a knee or an elbow it looks like it really hurt, for real. If yo like martial arts movies you have to check this one out.
